Adjusting to motherhood
Motherhood is a huge transition in any woman’s life and, as a new mum, you will, inevitably be inundated with advice. Women instinctively reach out to new mums because they remember how huge the transition was for them but it is important to remember:
Every mother is different. Every baby is different.
Every mother and baby face their own unique set of challenges, just as every mother and child have their own unique set of gifts. Motherhood is about learning to harmonise with your baby. New mothers need the support and space to get to know their baby and to gain the confidence and skills they need to navigate their own, individual, mothering journey. Motherhood is immense. It touches every part of you, mind, body and soul. It changes you in unexpected ways.
Hypnotherapy can provide you with a place to figure out yours and your baby’s unique needs, finding your own mothering instincts amongst the overload of well-meaning advice. It can provide you with relaxation techniques and self-hypnosis to allow you to restore emotional balance.
